The CAT 2025 exam is scheduled for November 30, 2025. IIM Kozhikode is expected to administer the CAT 2025 exam. The official announcement will be made during the last week of July 2025. The CAT 2025 registration cum application process will begin in August 2025 and continue until the third week of September 2025.
To be eligible to take the CAT, applicants must fill out an online application. The exam will be held in three shifts in more than 170 cities across India.
The Common Admission Test, or CAT, is a national-level management aptitude test administered by the IIM for admission to MBA and other postgraduate courses offered at its 21 campuses. The CAT exam is a timed test that includes questions about Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The exam difficulty level ranges from moderate to high.
Every year, more than two lakh candidates apply for the CAT exam. Applications for CAT 2023 reached a record high of 3.30 lakh. There have been 3.29 lakh registrations for CAT 2024. Candidates who pass the CAT exam are eligible for admission to over 1300 MBA colleges in India, including the IIMs.

The CAT 2025 registration and application form submission process will be conducted online. To fill out the form, candidates must first create a login ID. Check the following CAT registration and application process for 2025:

The CAT admit card is a required document to bring to the exam center. The process for downloading the CAT admit card 2025 is as follows:

Click on 'login' tab
Enter CAT 2025 application number and password
Go to 'admit card' section
Click on 'download'
CAT Exam Day Guidelines
The CAT 2025 exam will be held at designated exam centers across India, and candidates must follow certain guidelines. The exam day guidelines will be included on the CAT admit card 2025. Read the following CAT exam day guidelines, documents to bring, and prohibited items at the exam center.
Candidates need to bring the following documents with them to enter the CAT exam center:
CAT admit card 2025: Two printouts of their admit card with their photo on it (preferably the same one uploaded with the application form). Entry without the CAT admit card and photo ID is not permitted.
Along with the admit card, candidates must bring a photo ID proof such as a college ID, employer ID, driver's license, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or Aadhaar card.
Name change document: If a candidate's name changes later in life and their photo ID no longer reflects the same name, they must carry a name change certificate/document.
PwD/Scribe Certificate: If PwD candidates wish to use scribe services, they must bring a certificate indicating this and a scribe certificate attested by the competent authority.
The test center will not accept the following items:
Calculator, watch, phone, iPad or any other electronic item
Bags and purses
Eatables and beverages
Jewellery and accessories that contain metal
Jackets and clothes with pockets
Closed footwear
Book, note books, loose paper
Note: Applicants for the test had to bring a medical certificate attesting to any metal implants, pacemakers, etc. in their bodies.
